Creative Me

For the last 3 years I have been in the Ceramic classes at the high school. We make an arrangement of pots and bowls to hand made nature sculptures and figurines. I think that Ceramics is the way that I am creative because it is a way for my imagination and ideas to come alive in physical forms in clay. Ceramics is a way for me to go beyond the normal clay bowl or pot to create creative art and hand made sculptures. Creativity in my point of view is the ability to think outside the box or the normal and in Ceramics not only do you think about making these abnormal creations, you also create them with hard work and patience. Ceramics is a great way to let your imagination come alive in the pieces you make. Ceramics makes me feel creative because when you make something you feel a sense of pride and ownership over that and that the creativity and thought that went into the piece made it become what you wanted it to become. You can’t do Ceramics without some creativity because your pieces would just be basic and dull, but with creativity they become extravagant and detailed, which is what everyone wants. I believe that Ceramics shows creativity in people because of how unique each piece is to each person and that two people can’t make the same piece because your creativity is unique to you and you only. Creativity is the ability to show how each person is different because their imaginations and inspirations differ from person to person, which you so in thir art. I mean one person could make a tea pot that looks like a tree and someone else could have the same project, but it would be designed in a completely different way because their creativity was different. This is how Ceramics makes me feel Creative.
